Comfortable stay

Spotlessly clean hotel. Room smelt fresh and had everything we needed. Only comment is that the door to the shower is quite small so if you're of a larger size, you may find it a bit of a struggle. Breakfast was outstanding - one of the best selections I've had in a french hotel, and good value for money.

Amazing, great little hotel in the city centre of Cherbourg. Nice to have a private car park onsite, but beware the parking space are limited and the parking bay are quite small and narrow. Other then that, the bedroom and bathroom is nice size and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who coming to Cherbourg

Lovely large, clean family room and ensuite. Professional, friendly staff who went the extra mile to help. Enjoyed a good continental breakfast. Immediate surroundings a bit run down, but otherwise well placed for access to restaurants etc. Only stayed 1 night but would stay again and recommend.

Chosen for it's nearness to the ferry terminal and very importantly a lockup garage for our bikes (we were on a cycling holiday) Hotel Louvre was very clean and the staff very helpful. It was also quiet although, no doubt being used as a stopover hotel I was aware of some early morning internal doors being opened and closed. The breakfast buffet was particularly wide ranging and sumptuous. The only minor disappointment was that there was no kettle in the room. There was a coffee maker but it would only function as such so no cup of tea possible!

Hospitality as it should be !

Hôtel Le Louvre is just perfect ! I felt instantly welcome when I arrived thanks to a most friendly and professional receptionist. The hotel itself , is ideally located in the heart of city centre , in a quiet and easily acccessible street, with a private garage . The whole property is immaculate, my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with great bedding and bathroom. A welcome pack of biscuits , a bottle of water and some nice soap and shampoo were a rather nice touch. The breakfast buffet , prepared by a very friendly team,offered a great selection of food and the coffee was good. I only stayed one night , before boarding my delayed ferry to Ireland but could happily have stayed longer to visit Cherbourg and surroundings . So well done and thank you to the Team...I'll definitely be back.

Perfectly located for the Marina and to walk to the local cafes and restuarants. The staff were so helpful, accommodating, especially providing a 24hr reception. Clean and comfy rooms. The electric shutters didnt work reliably in my room but couldn't fault anything else. Would stay again.

This is a great little hotel. We found our room to be very clean and comfortable with nice complimentarys left in the room. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had breafast the next morning and we were able to leave our car parked in the hotel's car park till 2pm the following day while we walked around Cherbourg.

Perfect Start to our Tour of Normandy

A very enjoyable stay for 6 cyclists embarking on a week long tour of Normandy sites. The hotel is very central and close to a huge number of restaurants and cafes. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival - check in was from 2pm which tied in perfectly with our arrival on the ferry, so no hanging about before being able to drop off bikes and bags. There is storage for bikes which is not only secure, it also contains proper bike racks and a track pump. Other hotels please note! The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. A good breakfast including a hot buffet was included. Overall highly recommended.

Excellent établissement.

Excellent accueil, hôtel propre et très bien entretenu, la literie est excellente. Pas de bruits la nuit (rue ou chambres voisines). Petit déjeuner complet. Pour mes voyages d'affaires, il ne m'en faut pas plus, je reviendrai certainement dans cet établissement.
