Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Skail could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful hints that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
