Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Rodeo vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
