No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. Check out these handy tips that will get your Monthault escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and choose shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
