We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and seeing the best of Le Teilleul in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when deciding what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are your best bet.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are many ways to lessen your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink lots of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
