• Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.

• Keep your passport and boarding pass within easy reach. They'll be the first things you'll be asked for by security.

• All your electronic devices, including your phone and tablet, will also need to be separately scanned.
• Any gels or liquids, such as lip balm or cologne, that you want to take on board need to be in containers no greater than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They must also all fit inside a quart-size (one liter), clear zip-close bag.
