We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and enjoying Buckland in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
