Shaun and Angelica were so friendly, accomodated an earlier check in, and gave the boys plenty of animal feed! Only a 10min drive from Windsor Castle and Legoland, so perfect for our trip! Not a short stroll as advertised - it’s in the middle of an estate (not so nice ) Make you pay £££ deposit or no check in details Make you sign this ridiculous document also to say if they had to take deposit off you because of damage- you can’t leave them a negative review! Got signs everywhere to remind you not to make noise/ switch off lights etc - doesn’t make us feel relaxed Strange smell in games room and first floor...

6/10 Okay

"Amenities are very good. Sauna, Steam room and Family swimming. However, not so soundproof. People stamping and running around on corridors. Group gym starts early and you can hear the music from even 2 floors up. Paid extra for comfort but seems like it was better off booking at Travelodge, at least I expect less. Shower poorly maintained. Mould formation on the. shower."

"Great staff and lovely room. However, we chose this hotel to use the pool and spa but it was closed indefinitely and that had not been mentioned. Also, the week before I’d been offered to pay for an upgrade to a club room which I decided not to. When we arrived, or room wasn’t ready so they gave me a complimentary upgrade to a club room. One of the perks was access to the club lounge. I tried to access the lounge but the door wouldn’t open. I asked at reception and was told that the lounge was no longer in use. However, the previous week they would have charged me £30 for the upgrade but without the perks."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Sir Christopher Wren. The only improvement we can recommend is to upgrade the beds. Our bed was on the hard side any not very comfortable. We do want to recognize the front desk representative for going above and beyond helping us make arrangements for transportation to the Eurostar train station in St. Pancras. She was extremely helpful! I can't remember her name but she has a background from Pakistan and should be commended for her help!"

"I am wary of doing chain hotels but chose to stay here due to the location and the fact it boasted a "fitness facility". The location was convenient as it was sited at a Welcome Break services. I was able to park close to the entrance. I was warmly greeted but on checking in found out that there was a separate £5 charge for overnight parking which was not disclosed at the outset of booking the accommodation. There were multiple dining options either within the services complex or at the hotel restaurant. I over-indulged but was happy to work it off in the gym area. This turned out to be a delusional expectation as the fitness room comprised of a few hand weights which did not go up to more than about 5kg. I usually do cardio on the treadmill but the one they had there was not working so my attempt to work off excess calories was a bust. In certain parts of the corridors there was an aroma which felt more synonymous with parts of Amsterdam. I usually rate my stays based on the triumvirate criteria of shower, sleep and breakfast. The first two were great and the breakfast buffet quite average. I personally believe that this stay did not represent good value for money with the tipping point being the "gym". I would not look to stay here again."
