I love this place … but the free beverage that comes with the booking is water … I opened fridge and the boxed water was already opened an half full. It’s little details like this that can ruin the whole stay… drinking after someone else . Thank god it wasn’t laced with something. My friend thought I had drank out of it . Both were opened and drank out of .

We stayed in a rail car. Awesome experience. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom floor was heated. The hotel lobby smelled so good and the music and decor made it feel cozy. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance from the restaurant we ate at and the brewery we got drinks from. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located in a great location within easy walking distance to local restaurants, or to free shuttle to downtown area. Rooms are very well appointed inside. Was very disappointed after notifying check in staff that we were celebrating special occasion, that are our first floor room looked out to parking lot, with car parked within 2 feet of large sliding windows. As I had requested room suitable for celebration, and was willing to pay for upgrade - I assumed the room provided was the best the Hotel offered. After walking around in area, we noted that the room we were allotted was actually in the worse location possible. I approached front desk staff. The staff person told me that any available upgrades were often provided to patrons that booked direct with hotel, but not through booking of 3rd party sites. After celebrating with curtains of room closed as to not look at cars parked almost against our window, I did speak with manger the following day ( who was the staff member who checked us in). He apologized, then offered us complimentary upgrade, but we declined as we were only there one more night, and the occasion was already past. The manager also indicated that it was not the policy of the hotel to only offer upgrades to patrons that booked direct with the hotel.

Overall excellent experience and such a fun city. Rooms were clean upon arrival and beds were comfortable. Nice extra touches such as upgraded bath products and bath robes in each room. Location is 10/10. This area is brimming with bars, breweries, coffee shops and restaurants, all in easy walking distance. Another huge plus is the hotel is right next to the free Chatanooga shuttle. This FREE shuttle takes you to the aquarium side and then you can take a shuttle to north side. This is a great way to see various parts of the city! Only negative- our room cleaning service while at the hotel was not as expected. Our bed wasn’t made (no reason for that; no items on bed, etc) and fresh towels were not left in our room (despite someone picking up the old ones). After a long day biking and exploring I was unhappy to return to an unmade bed and no towels in the room. However, the pro’s outweigh this one con and we will definitely return to stay at the Chalet.

The property is historic and absolutely wonderful. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by, the comedy club nearby was a hoot. You can walk to loads of attractions. Highly recommend the property as a staycation or short weekend get away.

Lovely hotel. Our train car was wonderful! Very comfortable & beautifully decorated. The lounge by the pool was a perfect gathering place each evening…very relaxing. Great staff & location. Love the history! Very walkable & convenient to Carta. That all said. The daily charge for parking over & above the room rate is a bit much. The lobby breakfast other than danish & coffee were less than desirable to be kind
