Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi.

We stayed for three days and our host, Allen, was very pleasant (though I would have liked to see more of him). His cockatoo, Sweetie, lived up to his name - very friendly bird. The room and the breakfast were good with nice treats like small snacks and coffee and tea available in the room. I especially like the eclectic nature of the house - all kinds of things to look at. The house does need a bit of repair (Allen said that's in the works at the moment). Very pleasant stay.

Quiet and peaceful and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Fresh fruit, homemade granola with homemade yogurt, unique French toast casserole with real maple syrup, eggs, and great coffee. Host made the breakfast vegetarian for us, and gave us extra coffee for our thermos. Room was cozy with cute decorative touches. Loved walking around the grounds and hearing the frogs. Great stay!

Great midway stop for this Jersey crew

We were exhausted from a long day of travel and arrived at Ebenezer at 10:30P. Allen was there to greet us and show us our room (we also had a DOG with us). He was just a true gentleman and all smiles upon our arrival. Great sleep in a room that was perfect for us. Next morning we met wonderful guests at the breakfast table, and we were greeted by a treat! His sweet Parrot that was adorable and so much fun! Thanks so much for our nice stay (check out the wineries nearby---awesome---super location).

A charming place to stay in Virginia

Ebenezer House is a charming place. Curiosities, pictures and bric-a-brac adorn the house and home-cooked breakfast is eaten on real china. Common spaces are ideal for watching TV or playing games with other guests. The owner is friendly and helpful and so is his pet cockatiel. Enjoying breakfast around the table with other guests and chatting was definitely a high point.

Cute B&B near Shenendoah National Park

The Good: Super Cute B&B with lots of great public spaces and a wonderful breakfast. Our host, Alan, was responsive and informative. The B&B itself is a converted church. There are lots of places to sit and relax. There is also lots of magazines and games as well as two TVs in the public areas. There is coffee, tea, soda, and even wine available. The well water tastes fantastic. Alan has a pet Cockatoo who is well trained and friendly. He brought the bird out at breakfast and we could pet him or have him sit on our arm of shoulder. The wifi worked great. The Bad: The bed could be more comfortable. The sheets were soft but there was a hole in the fitted sheet. The mattress was a bit rickety. Sadly, a guest sleeping in the room adjacent to ours snored loudly all night. There was also a skylight in the room which meant light waking me up earlier than I would have liked. I should have brought an eye mask and ear plugs. Other Info: Breakfast was served at 9 am. There was delicious yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. The hot foods served were scrambled eggs, bacon, and a french toast like dish which was delicious. There was also bread for toast as well as coffee, tea, and orange juice.

Cozy little home near the homes of Presidents

Wonderful stay. Very friendly and providing exceptional service. We stayed in the smallest room as we reserved late and that was all that was available BUT even this room was comfortable and cozy. We would stay again and recommend the Ebenezer House to anyone staying in the area

Very pleasant owner. Hard to sleep as it was too hot and didn't know how to make any adjustments in temp. They had a beautiful bird but it screeched bloody murder when I was trying to sleep. Breakfast was at 9am - not a convenient time for us - would have liked earlier and then ended up being cold. Good information was given about the area and great suggestion on local restaurant. Get advice about how to use shower - it was a very confusing set up.

Weekend Wonder

Charming historic home. Perfect for someone desiring a weekend escape to rural countryside. Wonderful balcony and decks to enjoy the views and fresh air.. Stairs and shared bathrooms for some rooms should be noted.
