We have stayed at Hampton Inn for years. Service has always been great, rooms and common areas are clean, they are always in a quiet, convenient area and the beds are amazingly comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good as well! We have recommended Hampton to everyone we know.
However this particular stay was not what we have come to expect. Firstly while checking in the desk clerk Shelby left me standing at the desk to take a note to housekeeping because someone called about needing a bulb changed. There was no one in the lobby waiting to be checked in but me..I felt like she could've taken the note AFTER I was checked in.
Our room was at the very end of the hall, with not even a handful of cars in the parking lot. Room 328 didn't have a floor lamp so the room was dim, also there were several stains on the ceiling.
While I was in the lobby later, a man came to check in and no one was at the desk, he asked me is no one working the desk? I told him I haven't seen any one in the 10 minutes I was there, it took an additional 10 minutes for Shelby to show up to check him in..he wasn't happy.
I do not think I will return to this location and I guess its time to find a new favorite hotel
