"We had an absolutely phenomenal time staying at the Ryder. We feel in love with the property and the town. Highly recommend staying here for a unique boutique experience. We mentioned in briefly that it was my husband's birthday trip and they sent a bottle of champagne on ice. They were so accommodating and lovely. I will definitely go back to the Ryder. The only downside the the pool area is pretty small with limited seating, but overall it was a great time. :)"

Hampton Inn Charleston-Historic District

"The room smelled musty when we arrived but that disappeared in a day or so. The carpet could use changing. The toilet ran for 45 minutes before being able to flush again. Maintenance came and that went to 15 minutes. The breakfast was fine and the staff was helpful. The location is great. It’s right across from the visitors center where several tours pick up. It’s also right near a bus stop for the free downtown bus. The price was great for the area."
