The aircondition is leaking infront of the front door and in the toilet. There was no Wifi on the property. They kept lying saying the technician is there fixing it. I threaten to leave and they purchased a phone card for me to buy a plan for the duration of my stay. I killed a cockroach in my room. The bathroom had a choke the water was not running out quickly. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very helpful.

Our stay here was very relaxing. Room was clean, no issues except that we could not get the tv to work. The breakfast was great, everyone enjoyed it. Pool was really good, especially in the evening time when the water was nice n warm. Property renovated a bit since our last stay but more work still needed, I guess they will in time🙏 Overall, I'd say we had a pleasant stay and would go back again.

I’d stay there again but wouldn’t rush to do so

While the pool is quite nice, a lot of the property is run down. The room is ok; AC worked well; the bathroom is ok. It’s a bit piecemeal; a queen mattress on a double bed base does not make a queen bed. Breakfast was good. Since there were two of us we asked for a second key. The hotel refused to provide one. In fact, if we wanted our room cleaned we had to drop off our key at reception. Doesn’t instill confidence, nor a feeling of guest focus.

The rooms were excellent. The pool is huge! There weren’t any other guests staying. This hotel is very clean and quiet. It does need some renovations to the exterior. Plenty of room on the property for children to play.

The breakfast was decent, the pool is beautiful however there was mold in our bathroom, really questionable characters outside the hotel as well as the actual hotel itself drains smell badly, grass is overgrown and there's caution tape preventing you from rolling the suitcases on normal ground and instead you have to drag your suitcase up the stairs.

Affordable, clean, and close to Peakes boatyard!

Staff were helpful in finding a ride to the Fast Ferry at (!) 4:30 am. Excellent AC. Only downside was the loud grass-trimmer just outside. At first I thought: no TP!, but it was behind me..

It felt safe. Beds were comfortable. Lighting and AC were good. Overall the room looked clean. You may need mosquitoe repellent though. The pool area was ok. The water was filtered always. No umbrellas so you'll have direct sunlight always. However, all photos of the place should be updated because some places are under renovation such as the bar in the pool and breakfast areas, even the breakfast menu isn't a continental type as seen in the photos. Usually its either toast and eggs (any style) or something to this effect. However today it was a continental styled breakfast since it was mother's day (much appreciated). The room door and closets are a little hard to open and close. The maintenance guy tried to fix it up though. The helpers were very attentive and tried to rectify any issues we had. The sink in the room smelled a little funny though.

An acquired taste

The hotel is quiet and the breakfast was simple but tasted good. I suggest you order breakfast at least 15 minutes before you go to get it or else you end up waiting. The place needs alot of updating. Too many steps, it is not friendly to the elderly, playful children or those with physical disabilities. The price to stay and the location is not bad. Lots of outdoor activities such as boating, kayaking, fishing, water park and beach bathing are nearby, however at the hotel itself only a pool is available but no lifeguard is ever on duty. The hotel is a unique experience. Good luck.

I have stayed at West Palm twice. The staff at the front desk is nice. But this hotel is the most poorly run dirty dump I have stayed at in a long time. The management / owners don't spend any money on basic upkeep. The place is in shambles, falling apart everywhere. Barely anybody staying there, half deserted. COCKROACHES running around the room all day. Random mix of half broken furniture. Dirty stained sheets. The pool is nice (if clean). The "breakfast" is horrible. The only reason to stay here is it is across the street from Peake if you are working on your boat there. Avoid if you can. Needs a new owner, major investment, and basic competence in how to run a hotel.

My stay at West Palm was the highlight of my stay in Trinidad & Tobago. The staff —every single one of them— were so amazing. They were so helpful and friendly from check in, to during my stay, to checkout. The breakfast was so delicious and well prepared I had to cancel lunch one day because they fed us so much. Amazing chefs! Simply Amazing! I will definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway.
