Go see old town Kranj. Take time to stroll through the villages north of Jana all the way to Strrmol castle. Its all walkable. Strmol castle wasn't open when I went there.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Easy check in even at late hour. Room clean and neat. Snacks and drinks in fridge including local beer! Value for room provided was outstanding, super easy access to the airport for an early morning flight.
