Go see old town Kranj. Take time to stroll through the villages north of Jana all the way to Strrmol castle. Its all walkable. Strmol castle wasn't open when I went there.

"Very convenient to the airport. Check in was easy and property owner was a delight. Her husband took us to the airport for a small fee. Don’t let the windows open at night, mosquitos might come inside the room. Overall a great stay. Highly recommended."
