"Visited for 2 nights as I was in town for a concert. Room rate had spiked due to the event. Room was very spacious and conveniently had a refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, tv, free wifi, and hairdryer. Room was dated; Tub tile grout was blackened and frosted bathroom window had large scratches in it which allow people outside to peek through which was concerning. Electrical outlets were lacking and the one in the bathroom did not work. Bed was fine. Hotel was 25-30 minute walk to M&T stadium. Given the large concert crowds I felt ok walking to and from the stadium but would not have otherwise as the area is sketchy. Not close to eateries although restaurant in the lobby (which I didn't get to try). 10 minute uber ride to Amtrak station. Staff courtesy was a mix. Some very polite and friendly, others ignored you and made you wait at check in. Very helpful after concert to allow guests to use back elevator due to long lines. Learned when I got there that this is one of the top 5 most haunted hotels in the USA but I didn't notice anything (thankfully)."

"The roof top pool was great after an arduous day strolling around DC with at least 40lbs of clothing and toiletries. They were courteous enough to hold our bags before check in so we could explore DC at our leasure."

"Great location. Historical feel. Great staff. Very fair price, Had dinner in the premises and it was very good. The greeter/server was very pleasant. The only two negatives were the water pressure in the bathroom sink and the fact the towel rail was coming off the wall. Both easy fixes."
