"On arrival we were given poor instructions how to access the room and where just pointed in the general direction We were on the 4th floor facing the rooftop bar which was noisy so ensure you bring earplugs. Lifts where out of action for the 2 out of the 3 days we were checked in. We had to carry luggage down 4 flights of stairs upon departure. Whilst previous reviews have described breakfast in glowing terms we felt the breakfast was limited ie you either had fruit and yogurt or eggs. Tea or coffee. To add additional items to the breakfast cost 185 pesos upwards. Overall we did not feel as valued guests and would not stay again albeit the hotel is centrally located and has a beautiful dining area "

"I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. It is a multi-acre compound with so many wonderful things to see and do, in addition to a spotless, very comfortable room with great dark out curtains and a very nice attached patio. We were amazed by the 3 cenotes on the property, the Mayan ruins (that has been partially rebuilt), the many walking paths that are wide and very well marked. They communicated with me on Whatsapp and sent photos of the entrance off the road so that there could be no misunderstanding. We loved it. So many birds in the morning. We figured on 30 different species on my husband's phone app. Off the beaten path somewhat and just delightful. Book it!!"

"Absolutely amazing setting! We stayed in the ‘museum’ part. Gorgeous gardens. According to my husband, ‘a cross between faded elegance and somewhat abandoned. Big room with a 4 poster bed, high ceilings and solid wooden shutters. "

"Huge room with 2 double beds and big bathroom. Good shower, hot water. Pretty building in a quiet location, staff friendly and helpful. "

"Clean room and friendly staff Super pretty grounds, loved the turtles! We had a great stay. Please note, however, that it's not a quiet stay. There's a place nearby that has very loud music/entertainment events in the evening. Also the roosters in the adjacent properties will wake you up before sunrise and afterwards. 😅 We didn't mind any of it because we were extremely tired from our travels and had earplugs, but I hadn't seen any reviews commenting on noise before so thought I'd share Also the restaurant is just ok. Breakfast was better than dinner, IMHO, but it was fine for what it was. We did enjoy the resident cat dining companions though. 😊 "
