「The room was clean and tidy, although the facilities were a bit dated. The location is excellent—it's very close to Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal viewing area. The hotel is right across from the ocean, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a good experience.」

「Upon entering the room I smelled a strong smell of urine. I immediately started looking for another hotel online, but they were all booked up. My husband suggested getting air freshener but that would just cover up the filth. I walked to the gas station and got a bottle of 409 and paper towels. I cleaned the floor by the toilet and my towel came up BLACK. I proceeded to clean the entire floor and it apparently hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The smell improved but not much. 「The room was small with two queen beds however it was very convenient to have a refrigerator, microwave and fireplace. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. There were generous bath linens and coffee portions. I would say the only negative was the floors looked cleaned but our socks and feet were dirty after walking on them without shoes. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great job. Parade route was right in front of the motel and we could sit on their elevated street side wall」
