I love the Cypress Tree Motel. I think this was my 3rd time visiting. I love the fact that it's got its own identity, it's not part of a huge chain, it's quirky, cozy, and in a great location. The staff is super nice and welcoming. It's not fancy, but it's a safe place to stay while visiting the cute seaside town of Cayucos. The beach is across the street, all Cayucos restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance. I'll keep coming back, for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Our room had an entire little kitchen which was such a nice edition and the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, checking in when they saw us to see if we needed anything. We are very grateful for the hospitality.

This property is a hidden gem. Affordable, clean, plenty of parking and a block away from the beach. It was spacious for the two of us and the bathroom was huge! This will now be our hotel of choice when we travel down to Paso Robles/Cayucas area.. Notable: Check-in was a breeze and the owner was very nice. She recommended the Sea Shanty Restaurant for dinner and it didn't disappoint. The towels were high quality, very soft. Bed was a little soft for my fiancé but I slept like a baby. They had a coffee maker and refrigerator (which we was very impressed with how cold it keep our drinks, we even got ice-cream for a late night snack and the freezer kept it frozen.

I am no stranger to low key motel stays, and Cypress Motel is cute and has a great location. However, touting that the motel has gone through a full remodel, I expected better than I experienced. Let's start with the room doors- they're still original, and because of the salt air they stick, REALLY stick, I could barely get mine open. There was no AC, also no hot water in the evening when I wanted a shower, and the wi-fi did not work. I feel like these are pretty basic requirements for motels and hotels these days, and given the price they charge during high season they could do better.

OK but overpriced.

Room was fairly comfortable, very clean, but overpriced. On the day I left, the key would not turn in the door in the direction needed to lock the door. I could lock it from the inside but not the outside. Check in was very easy and the front desk was very helpful.

This was a good place to stop for the night. A funky little motel that serves its purpose. The proprietor was great, with our late check in. I reminded my partner that we need to remember to bring our own pillows on our road trips. The pillows were Max 1 inch thick. All in all it was a good stay.

The office was very accommodating from the very beginning. Which was most appreciated. The parking was easy and right by the door of our room. The little grass area with the table and chairs where so comfortable along with the great new friends we made. We will absolutely be back and will refer this place to anyone who will listen.

This was such a great find for a last minute birthday trip! Can't beat the location! My coffee wasn't even cold from motel to beach waves! The staff was so friendly! Older hotel, but perfectly solid! The walls are a bit thin, and the tv a bit old, but the surroundings don't keep you in your room! Didnt take advantage of the bbq set-up and fire pit, but definitely will the next time! Great for our family of 4. The room even had a separate bedroom! Perfect!
