The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing, Liz provided the best recommendations and was so friendly and welcoming! Breakfast was hearty and very good. We really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend staying here!
The owners are lovely and made the visit very comfortable. Building isn’t accessible, and a little dated, but a comfortable stay, and restaurant/pub downstairs was very convenient.
Loved our stay at this family run hotel. Host, Liz, was friendly and informative and gave great tips for our drive to Cliffs of Moher. Breakfast was really yummy and welcome because there isn’t any other cafes or places nearby to grab breakfast. Bed was comfy and bathroom shower had great water pressure. Would stay here again.
People where really friendly and even sorted us breakfast early so we could get off on our trip, room was nice and spacious and really clean, breakfast was really nice also.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the room above the pub. It was very clean, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Thank you for the lovely stay! We’ll definitely recommend this place to our friends.
True pub-style accommodations. Stayed one night. Clean, modest room above the pub 2 flights of stairs to the rooms (not ideal if you have mobility issues). Room could use updating and wasn’t like the photos on Expedia, but the bed was comfortable. Free parking across the street. Dinner was okay, Guinness was great and breakfast was decent.
The greeting and welcome was warm and friendly. The room was light and bright with super mountain view. The evening food was delicious and nothing too much trouble for the girl running the show. The breakfast was delicious and the host gave some great tips about our onward exploration of the Dingle peninsula. A brilliant find.
Lovely stay with Liz at the Anvil. She was a wealth of knowledge each morning helping up prepare for our days of adventuring.
Comfortable quiet room with lovely breakfast each morning. And the Anvil restaurant was a great end to busy days!
Our host Liz was very helpful, lots of advice about what to see, and we even had a brief Irish instruction. Very lovely. This was a great base for visiting Dingle peninsula. Breakfast was great, we enjoyed the pub, and there is also a nice pub next door.
We were on a first Ireland trip and just basic ideas what to see. Liz was a big help in planning our explorations. The location is great for exploring Kerry and Dingle peninsula’s. The room we had was spacious. Meals were great too.
This was a great place to stay for the night after capping off a couple days in Dingle with the Slea Head Drive. It was a comfortable room with friendly service and a delicious breakfast included.
This was top notch very clean facility. The owner Elizabeth was warm and welcoming with lots of Irish sayings. The rooms weee immaculate. We slept like logs. Definitely recommend the anvil bar if you are in the area.
Great hostess and owner. Really personable and great breakfast the next morning! Would highly recommend as close to the ring of Carrie and some braid advice from the owner!
Wonderful place with room having character and appeal. Owner Liz went out of her way to help, give directions and share some of her stories.
Traffic along the road outside might be a concern for light sleepers and need for open windows to keep cool at night increases that risk. Lovely place perfect for our needs!
I loved it here! Instead of being handed a key, we were shown to our room, which was so cozy and welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast felt like home cooked meals rather than restaurant food. But the best part was the personal attention we received from our patroness Liz who shared stories and advice that truly touched our hearts and showed us the real Ireland. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Anvil.
We loved this place. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the food was spectacular and the bed comfortable. The location is right on the road, so there is some road noise, but not enough to disturb my sleep.
We would certainly stay here again!
