Hello,
I need urgent help with my hotel booking MainStay Suites.
• I prepaid for the night through Expedia.
• When I arrived at the hotel at 3:04 AM, the staff refused to honor my reservation and marked me as a “no-show.”
• The hotel charged me again for the same night, resulting in a duplicate charge (one prepaid via Expedia, one directly at the hotel).
• At no point during the booking process on Expedia was a “late check-in policy” disclosed. I was never informed that arriving after a certain hour would void my prepaid booking.
• The hotel also never contacted me to confirm my arrival or warn me about a potential no-show. Otherwise I would definitely make calls about my late arrival, who wants to pay double when they know they are going to show up for sure?
Because of the lack of disclosure and unfair double billing, I request:
1. A full refund of the duplicate charge.
2. A correction of the booking record to remove the no-show status.
I have my Expedia confirmation and card statements to show both charges. Please resolve this promptly and protect other customers from this unfair practice.
