5 star service in a beautiful setting

Wonderful stay for my birthday. The grounds are beautiful, the setting is peaceful, the hotel itself is full of history and charm around each corner, with tons of lovely details. Spa, food, pool are all great. Most importantly the service was truly phenomenal. Attentive, friendly staff that doesn’t miss a detail or beat. 5-star service in a beautiful setting, we will definitely be back!

Magical Tuscan gem

This hotel is magical and we could not have wished for a better venue. It is steeped in history and is set in a beautiful, quiet parkland with lots of secret garden elements to explore. The staff were friendly and attentive and breakfast was extensive. Our room consisted of a living / sitting room with beautiful period furniture, walking through to a bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a small vestibule for hanging clothes and a large bathroom. We were in the old stable building which was full of quirky horse related fixtures and fittings. It has an air of exclusivity without being stuffy and I would definitely return. I was delighted with Relais La Suvera.

Don’t stay here

This hotel was so far away from anything. When i pulled into the hotel the man who greeted me was unfriendly and didn’t even offer me a tour. Brought me to my room in what help like a deserted hotel. The WiFi didn’t work and my cell phone had poor reception. I was on a 2 week european road trip and i paid for 2 nights ahead here but couldn’t stand it that badly that i left afte one. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I could go on and on about why i didn’t like it.

Lieu unique et sublime à préserver

Un lieu unique, hors du temps, magnifique et plein d'histoire dans une campagne toscane plus que magique. Quelques améliorations pourrait être apporté d'un point de vu esthétique et le confort un peu vieillot.

An incredible experience

There's no doubt that the Suvera is an unusual property, and not necessarily comparable to a luxury hotel like the St. Regis. However, it's a truly magical place with an incredible amount of history. We stayed in the papal villa, which I would absolutely recommend. The views of the Chianti Valley are stunning and the room itself was enormous and very comfortable. Both the restaurant and bar are lovely. The staff all very friendly and attentive. The pool and grounds are also spectacular. While it may not be everybody's taste, it was definitely mine. I hope very much to go back again one day.

A disappointment, sorry to say

I wanted to love this hotel. We deliberately drove hours out of our way to stay here. I booked a junior suite for me and my husband (both obviously over 60) for one night in order to check it out. We were given a room in the farmhouse at the top of a steep staircase, notwithstanding the hotel was practically empty. One look at us and the manager should have asked us if we would prefer a junior suite in the stable, at ground level (which are the rooms pictured on the website). The corridor was vintage WWI (I am Italian, so I know), the room and furnishings were somewhat tired and musty--my husband had an allergy attack in the bedroom. While my husband napped after our drive, I explored the property--lovely gardens, pool area, chapel, and museum in the main building. The staff was not trained to greet me as they encountered me. I did manage to flag a waiter and ask for drinks, and he was very cordial in the event, as he was later at dinner. After dinner, as we passed through reception, there was no one at the desk--the staff were engaged in discussions in a back room and no one emerged to see who was going in or to wish us good night. Having just come from Portrait Firenze--the sine qua non of service--we were disappointed by the lackadaisical approach to guest care here, notably because it was not inexpensive.

Absolutely stunning

An absolutely stunning hotel with good food and fantastic service. We had a really wonderful experience here and even a private tour of the main building by the owner which was a nice surprise. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to returning one day soon

Historic hotel in a spectacular location

La Suvera served as our base druing our four day stay in Tuscany. It is an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of history. We only had dinner once at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant is passable but there are much better places to eat in the vicinity. The staff was wonderful--always helpful and friendly. Our only suggestion would be for the hotel to have better maps and travel literature available for guests wanting to visit Tuscan towns and sites such as Florence and Siena. Bur we had a fantastic stay and would definitely go back.

Incredible Getaway

Incredible hotel! This is a remarkable villa on a hill in Tuscany, feels like you are living like a royal. Incredible amenities also. There are 2 hotel restaurants and also a spa w/ a cave-like hot tub. The rooms are a nice size with a private patio. The grounds are beautiful with several gardens and a pool. I only wished I could stay here longer! The hotel staff is also very friendly.

posizione strategica, vista panoramica.

Atmosfera da fiaba, tutto più che curato e angoli di storia ovunque. Ogni dettaglio dell'arredamento della camera era al suo posto (la nostra era la Suite dei Ventagli), il gusto del bello regna sovrano. Unica "pecca", secondo me, resta nel fatto che in inverno manca un salone centrale dove passare del tempo, magari appollaiati su un divano a sorseggiare un drink davanti ad un camino ..per il resto, anche il giardino, è un incanto. Il centro benessere purtroppo non ho avuto modo di vederlo ma so che i massaggi sono molto apprezzati. Personale delizioso!
