"We returned to The Evergreen after having a very pleasant stay four nights prior. During our prior stay we got into the hot tub which was tepid at best. They looked into it and apparently the breaker on the heater tripped so they reset it and it slowly began to warm (huge tub, takes hours of which we didn't have). On our return we experienced the same. Makes you wonder if maybe they need a new heater? Given that it was 90 outside, no big deal but if I was here during the winter it'd be another story as the tub is very large and takes hours to heat. "

"Cute bungalows across the street from the lake and bike/walk to cute town (abt a mile). Easy check in, place was clean and updated. Only cons were no closet or hooks to hang anything. No nightstands so we used the 2 kitchen stools. It’s tight w 2 ppl but we made it work and enjoyed our stay. "

"Jessica, the manager at Best Western checked me in and I have to say she is amazing. She was very personable and helpful, but what was most exceptional about her hospitality was that she seemed to anticipate my requests and automatically started solving for them. I was traveling with my 13 year old lab who has bad hips, as soon as I mentioned this Jessica immediately switched my room to a first floor room and mentioned a medication that her dog really improved on and suggested I ask my vet about it. She even sent me the exact name afterwards. Jessica is a star."

"Very nice people working there. Very nice set up and would stay there again for next vacation to get out and see the beautiful area. "

"We were attending bike races. While the resort was beautiful it had its limitations. Very few restaurants were open, also the shops weren’t all open. I understand it’s not their busy season, but there were over 500 people attending the races. We were expecting food vendors, or even food trucks. We had to drive 30 minutes to another town for restaurants and groceries. Convenient for watching the races, but not for other things. "
