「This is s special place right on the beach in Abene, Casamance, Senegal. It is a small simple lodge run by Patrick and his mother right on an immense unspoiled beach. The food is very French style but delicious. Lots of fresh fish and local Flag beer. This is a fantastic place to get away from hustle and bustle. Don’t expect 5 star comfort, but do expect 5 star welcome from the wonderful people in this charming area. 」
「Before booking I read some mixed reviews so was a bit unsure what it was going to be like. But for our part everything was good. I think it is more about managing expectations. The hotel is in a less developed part of Senegal/West Africa and as such, one cannot expect the same standards as Kenya or South Africa. But with this in mind. Everything was good. Comfy bed and good food. I can recommend the beef brochette with Roquefort sauce... Yummy...」
