This hotel offers a 5 star experience but was affordable for us due to spring season… loved our breakfast in the dining room with a terrific view. Our room was a “prestige garden terrace” room with extra large and comfortable bed, chairs, a counter for our luggage (much appreciated since many hotels forget to provide space or a luggage stand). The walk-in shower was terrific! The setting and our private patio were gorgeous! Spent our time exploring megalithic sites, and the only regret is that we should have spent a week here, not two nights. Merci!

Our short stay at Hotel Tumulus is quite memorable not only because of the view of the St. Michael Tumulus from our hotel window but also the friendliness and the care the hotel staff gave to us. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, quiet and very comfortable. We will stay with them again and will gladly recommended them to friends and family.

Nice, clean hotel right at the tumulus. Very convenient with a lift and en suite toilet and shower. However, the front desk is only open until 10pm and food is $$$$.

Chambre dite ‘prestige’ qui était en rez de chaussée et très mal ventilée. En cas de forte chaleur, la chambre n’étant pas climatisée, je recommande de trouver un autre lieu de résidence.

Das Hotel du Tumulus in Carnac liegt am Rand des historischen Stadtkerns, der sich durch seine charmante Kirche, gemütliche Restaurants und verschiedene Geschäfte auszeichnet. Die berühmten Megalithen und das prähistorische Museum befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Strand sind es etwa 30 bis 40 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hotel wurde insgesamt renoviert und ist in gutem Zustand. Unser Familienzimmer befand sich jedoch in einem Nebengebäude, was aufgrund der Entfernung zu den Hoteleinrichtungen etwas unpraktisch war. Leider hatte das Zimmer einen modrigen Geruch. Bademäntel waren nur im Haupthaus verfügbar, nicht jedoch im Familienzimmer im Nebengebäude. Die Zimmerfotos auf der Webseite stammen offenbar aus dem Haupthaus und spiegeln den Zustand des Familienzimmers im Nebengebäude nicht akkurat wider. Der Service war teilweise freundlich, wirkte jedoch auch gelegentlich hektisch. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel du Tumulus eine gute Lage, insbesondere wenn man nicht direkt am Strand sein möchte. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch, ein Zimmer im Haupthaus zu buchen, um eine angenehmere Erfahrung zu gewährleisten.

Séjour au Tumulus Carnac

Hôtel pas digne d’un Collectionneur, mobilier en général très vétuste,au restaurant les chaises sont inconfortables et tables rayées,manque des rideaux aux fenêtres,peinture du plafond qui a coulé sur les pierres et les carreaux pas très propres pour une vue panoramique.chambre avec mobilier ancien à la suite à la villa Joséphine à l’extérieur de l’hôtel à vraiment besoin d’un rafraîchissement au niveau des peintures et des volets, baguettes qui se décollent des fenêtres,douche vraiment trop petite difficile de bouger une fois à l’intérieur. Je pense qu’il ne doivent avoir la recette ou la machine pour un cappuccino,c’est juste un café avec du lait pas de mousse. Au niveau du parking,c’est sur la terre battue sous les arbres et chacun se gare comme il peut. Seul point positif le restaurant reste acceptable. Je ne comprend pas que ce restaurant soit sur les Collectionneurs
