"Nice hotel close to shops and beach. They have their own parking lot which is a plus. Staff were fabulous. Rooms are nice, clean. Connected to Il Fornaio restaurant which is convenient. Food was good, restaurant staff also great. Advertised breakfast starts at 730 but didn’t open until almost 8. Wish the property offered complimentary coffee in lobby available before 730a. No fridge in room, no coffee machine in room, really no amenities. Heat in room is via radiator, loud at times if turned up. Would stay again."

"I think we've stayed here 6 or 7 times now. For us, the best value in Carmel. The place is clean, comfortable rooms with gas fireplaces, really clean, has pool, nice landscaping, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Located right next to a market, where you can pick up supplies, plus local wine and beer, and a sandwich to take to the beach. Steps away from great bars, restaurants, and shops. We usually walk everywhere. Will be back in a few months."

"Wonderful view and nice, large room. However, checking in took almost an hour with a long line. Driving was a bit tough as well with the steep and winding roads so my car got problem for left turning so we had to took it to a shop to fix it."

"Our stay at the Stilwell Hotel was excellent. The hotel is so beautifully and thoughtfully designed. We visited over Memorial Day weekend. Once stepping onto the property we felt the calmness, away from the hustle and bustle of people hurriedly moving along the streets. The courtyard with the pizza oven was a highlight for us. The pizza was some of the best food we ate on our trip. There was plenty of seating in the courtyard with fire tables. We enjoyed the included breakfast every morning. I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness of the rooms. I found 0 faults in our particular room. It was spotless. While the rooms are very small (we had a balcony king) they matched the size of the room our friends had at another hotel down the road. Street noise was expected as you are right in the middle of town. It really wasn’t a problem once we turned some white noise on to sleep. Location was fantastic. Perfectly walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Another huge plus was the availability of parking here. With two parking lots for guests there was never a time the lot was completely full. It came as a huge relief to be able to park our large truck comfortably. Our friends at the other hotel had no availability to park their entire stay. Staff was all very helpful and friendly. Would absolutely recommend staying here!"
