Room was extremely neat and clean and very well maintained. Only sad part was the breakfast was not well attended. She was a racist who got our food. I just asked for extra hash down and she was like another one? Another one? And made me feel a bit hesitant to ask what I wanted
Really enjoyed our stay, only negative I have is that the door to the room was difficult to open, but that was because it was clear the room had been given a new comfortable carpet. Breakfast was great, lovely atmosphere
The hotel is in the heart of Carmarthen city centre with easy access to all the shops and restaurants. It's easy to drive to the neighbourhood beaches, gardens. We love the stays in the hotel. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The English breakfasts are wonderful.

Nice, clean room. Was quite noisy as it overlooked the street. The shower was tiny, practically impossible to shower without washing your hair. The breakfast was really good in a lovely dining area, we also had lunch which was also good. Friendly staff, overall a good experience.
Location v good. Service was great-everyone friendly. Steep stairs up to top floor (was warned) but ok.
Shall return.

Good bits:
Bed was comfortable, hotel pleasantly quirky (as you'd expect from an older (historic) property. Bathroom clean, bedding high quality. Staff were really nice. Polite without being overly friendly. Service speed in hotel and restaurant was spot on. Check in and out was easy. Hotel is right in the middle of the town and convenient for many other attractions.
Not so good bits:
The entrance to the car park is very narrow so, if you have a large SUV, then you'll need to park elsewhere. There is no lift and the stairs are 'old building' style so you need to watch your step in places. No issue for us but those with mobility issues would be advised to request a room low down. Neither of these are the hotel owner's fault, it is what it is with an old coaching inn. Bathroom had a few issues. There was paint flaking and mould developing over the shower end of the bath and the toilet flush was temperamental. Also, the bathroom has no heater and was much colder then the main bedroom. The TV was at 90 degrees to the bed so not easy to watch TV in bed. Would be better in the alcove opposite.
Overall, a nice, welcoming place with good food and lovely staff. A few maintenance issues that could be easily ironed out.
Would we stay again? We'd definitely consider doing so.
Our stay was very good. A few small issues like towel rail loose and drawer handle missing but good size room well equiped plenty if tea, coffee and milk. Great choice for breakfast and very reasonably priced to include breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Good position close to centre of town.
The room was a little 'tired' but generally OK. Unfortunately the heating in the rooms was not on so it was occasionally cool. The hotel did apologise once we had pointed this out to them.
The restaurant was good and the staff friendly. We would have liked prepared fruit for breakfast instead of a
limited selection of unprepared fruit.
Parking on site in a monitored car park was a real bonus.
The hotel is in a fantastic location for access to the town centre and the bus and rail stations. Could not have been better from that point of view.

It is in the town centre and seemed quiet and peaceful. On a one way system. I missed the entrance and had to go round the town to get access to the parking area, which was only just manageable in a medium sized vehicle. My room was one of two in an annexe which only links to the main hotel via the outside parking area. It wasn't very brightly lit and bedside lamp didnt work. I went in search of a light bulb but to no avail. As I couldn't read in my room, I went to the cinema, which was only 5 minutes walk. There was a decent en suite bathroom.
Breakfast in the main hotel was very nice and I only saw two other guests. I returned my key to a waitress . It didnt seem to matter who I gave it to!ĺ
Had a very nice and cosy overnight stay. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, well-presented room with a very nice bathroom. Could perhaps do with an extra blind or window covering to keep more light out. Vegan as well as veggie options at breakfast would be good too.

Convenient position on the main street with bus stops at the front. Difficult small car park but ok for small car. Twin room off the carpark clean but needed tlc (sellotape holding shower rail together/no spare loo roll, one radiator cold, bathroom flooring peeling away. Recommend info of key/breakfast access/times in room. Staff friendly.
