Room was nice beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. The reason I booked this location was for the hot tub after days of driving we wanted to relax in it but it was out of order. Breakfast wasn't good but wasn't horrible

Check in was at 3, the rooms were not ready until almost 4, we kept having to ask the front staff, which seemed annoyed by the inquiry. Room keys deactivated several times during our 1 day stay. Walls are super paper thin I could hear everything from the neighbors and the upstairs neighbors footsteps, housekeeping was in the halls by 8am and very loud.

Artesia isn't a major metropolis with an abundance of the top-level lodging facilities, but it does have the La Quinta, and we can attest that it is in the category of Outstanding and top-level.

The front desk staff did not represent people who are in customer service. The gentleman who checked us out on Sunday acted like he was being inconvenienced. Never smiled, nor asked how our stay was, and when I asked for a receipt, he kept looking for several minutes and finally I said I booked through Expedia. He very gruffly said, “ there are steps you have to go through”. They need better training. This was not typical of La Quinta where I have stayed.

I had a wonderful stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Artesia! From the moment I arrived, everything was pleasant, organized, and welcoming. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere made my stay very relaxing. The staff was friendly and professional, and everything went smoothly throughout my stay. After traveling, it was nice to have a place where I could truly feel comfortable and at ease. If you’re traveling to Artesia, especially for work, training, or just passing through the area, I definitely recommend staying here. I had a great experience and would happily choose this hotel again on my next visit. Thank you to the staff for making my stay so enjoyable!

When I first checked in, I was told there was no rooms available so I sat in the lobby area waiting for rooms to become available that people literally behind me asked to check in and they were giving rooms instantly so when I approached the front desk guy, he said rooms were becoming available as I was waiting. So I had to wait like 30 minutes while he did his checking in with other people while I was waiting in the lobby area. His comment was they had reservations and I told him I had one too. You could hear all the noise coming from the rooms above. Very noisy hotel. We never stay there again.

Just disappointing! Lobby and grounds a little unkept. Checking in took forever, no crowd just slow and pokey :( Hot tub out of service and pool had scummy film look to it, did try it. Room was ok, bed was comfy and water was hot. Everything (more so in the common areas) just needs cleaned- a little paint would go a long way. WORST was the elevator and stairwell…. Had to cover my nose every time i walked or rode down. Breakfast was standard and not a big selection but it did have hot food. Not sure where it got excellent reviews??? Has to be false reviews!
