"We stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro for our family vacation to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday. Unfortunately, our stay did not start as expected. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel had experienced a power outage and ongoing air conditioning issues. The room we were initially assigned did not have working A/C, making it very uncomfortable. We also did not receive the room category we had originally booked and paid for.
After reporting the issue, the hotel staff worked to resolve it and eventually relocated us to another room with functioning air conditioning. While the replacement room was a lower category than our original reservation, the hotel acknowledged the inconvenience and said they would compensate us by refunding the room category difference and one night's stay.
Once we were moved, we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. The resort itself is beautiful, the pools and beach are excellent, and many of the staff members were friendly and helpful. Although the beginning of our stay was disappointing, I appreciate that the hotel took responsibility and offered a fair resolution."
