"Pros: **Staff were very kind and fun **Two VERY large pools. You have plwnty of space and arent running into people. **Swim up bar **Beautiful beach with beach bar **Lots of activities and 3 pool tables! **Two buffets - great food **Ice cream stand! Cons **They say you cant reserve chairs under umbrellas but they do nothing about it. Going to beach / pool around 6:30am and theyre already "claimed" with people's towels yet nobody actually sitting on them or in the pool. **The website you go to for making dinner reservations is awful. You have to log in at 7:00am to get a reservation. Not 7:02, exactly 7am. It sells out by 7:02. Even though the ap says "log in at 7:30". You also cannot make reservations in person. So, there are only a few restaurants, other than the buffets, to choose from if you want a sit down meal (and missed the reservation window)"

"This hotel was truly excellent. I read many reviews prior to booking the Lopesan Costa Bavaro and some of the reviews were somewhat negative. After spending 5 nights at the resort, I have no idea why anyone would provide a negative review. The check-in was flawless and very organized. The person taking our bags to our room gave us info on restaurants, pool locations, etc. and walked through the resort map. The resort has a specific app that is used to find activities, book reservations for the ala carte restaurants, shows, shopping and other valuable information. Room service was spot on and the cleaning staff was excellent never missing spotless cleaning everyday and clean towels. The ala carte restaurants were very good and surprising for an all-inclusive. We went to the French, Italian, Asian and finally the Mediterranean. Madris, the Mediterranean, was our favorite. The buffets were extensive and very good. The beach was awesome and any seaweed was cleaned up daily. Many negative comments on line indicated lots of seaweed. That was not the case when we were there. Ample seating with shade at the beach and pool areas. The infinity pools (many) were really nice. In fact, the best pool system I have ever seen at a resort. The staff was very active daily and bar service very good. Frozen drinks were excellent. Also, bottled water is provided in your room, at restaurants and bars. The shows were entertaining and the preshow hilarious. "

"The restaurant was horrible. Our food order was simple, but yet took 45-55min to receive. We put it in before the dinner rush. When we asked if we could take it to go, the chef came from the back and gave my husband and I an extremely dirty look. We received our food and paid the bill. My husband even tipped them, though I feel didn’t deserve. On top of that, they didnt give us part of our order and the food was sub-par. I would have had better food/service down the street at Applebee’s. Will not be staying here again. "

"A large, well maintained resort with many faculties (pools, beach) and attractions (golf, mini putt, fitness centre, etc...). Up side lot to see and do. However, given the crowd size, if you want quiet relaxation this might not be the place for you. "
