The Spier is a lovely vineyard with good accommodation. They are now starting a complete renovation of the hotel and keeping all their staff on as part of the plan . I have always felt completely safe and cared for within the hotel grounds . A wonderful breakfast in the sunshine is the perfect way to start the day . There are many things to do swimming , cycling , walking , visit the hotel vegetable garden and see the birds enroute . I look forward to visiting Spier next year after its renovation

Hotel estilo resort, com bastante crianças. Quartos e banheiros grandes, em formato de vilas, por vezes afastados do local do café da manhã e piscina. Você vai precisar de carro para visitar a cidade de Stellenbosch e as vinicolas da região, o que não foi um problema para nós pois estávamos de carro. No geral o hotel não tem nenhum charme especial mas é uma boa opção na região.

Es liegt sehr gut und man ist schnell auf vielen Weingütern. Für uns als Familie war es super, hat viele andere Familien und die Anlage ist gross und weitläufig, kann es sehr empfehlen. Die Zimmer und vor Allem das Badezimmer sind in die Jahren gekommen, sollten bald mal rennoviert werden.

Fabulous stay, looking forward to returning next year. Very friendly & helpful staff, beautiful grounds with so much to do, stunning art work every where Excellent food & drink everywhere many locally produced. Spacious, immaculate double room, on top of 2 storey block of 4 rooms. Bathroom in our room was vintage in style but well maintained and immaculately clean with double shower, bath and 2 basins. They're undergoing a refurb in March to upgrade these rooms. We had access to 1 off the 6 outdoor pools shared by small group of rooms as well as main hotel pool. Lots to do on site- wine tasting, craft market - run by the artists eagles, Segway tours, river walk, cycling, picnics small well equipped gym, spa also family friendly with a kid's club & play area etc. Enjoy!

Booked a luxury room with a single and double bed. The room only had a king size bed, we asked reception to change it and they said they would. We went to the bar, then went back to the room before dinner and the nothing had been changed. We rang reception again and they sent 2 people over who told us you can have 2 bed in the apartment. I showed them the booking that said a double and single bed included. They then said call reception which we did again and they said they’d take care of it. When we returned after dinner it wasn’t change so I slept on the sofa. I’ve stayed there before with wife and kids with 3 beds in a room so they clearer just couldn’t be bothered. I must say all staff at the bar, restaurants, wine tasting and hotel porters were excellent though.
