Front desk staff was phenomenal. My only gripe is that housekeeping would not change out pur towels and kept placing dirty towels that were purposely placed on the floor back on the bathroom rack as if they were clean.

Nice room. Good location. Walking distance to Waterfront. Quite a few good restaurant/bars close too. DHL stadium just over( under) the road. " with private balcony" not really, just a 30-40 cm "stripe" in the one we had.

Noisy location

With the location being on the main road you need to be ready to deal with the noise from the traffic. Also the window in the bedroom doesn’t have a lace so we had to keep the blinds down the entire time. The overall service and amenities were good .

The room was a good size and well laid out. We had paid for a room with a large balcony and it was indeed spacious. However, we were on the second floor and the fact that there were 10 lanes of traffic outside meant that sitting on the balcony was not a pleasant experience. Additionally the noise continued all through the night meaning broken sleep. We had raised the idea of a higher floor before, and on arrival, but were advised nothing else was available - be aware of the noise issue when booking this type of room. The aircon unit in the bedroom sounded like a plane taking off - again not conducive to a good nights sleep. The V&A waterfront is a 20 minute walk (beware of scammers at the traffic lights!) but there were several restaurants much nearer to the apartments which was a definite bonus. Secure parking, a pool, and a restaurant (which we didn’t try) were also useful facilities and daily housekeeping was also an unexpected bonus.

It suited what we wanted and was a great location . We read reviews and noted the noise level from the two main streets that were mentioned. Indeed , it is very noisy in the front room we had even at level 6. We got used to it but if your a light sleeper maybe it’s not for you .

A comfortable stay

Great stay, very relaxing, much better apartment than from we stayed in previously. Pre arrival pester for check-in time not ideal when unsure of exact itinerary and think there should be some flexibility. No hand wash / shower gel in room at all this time so not topped up prior. Smell of cannabis in hallway to apartment each evening. In reception, security doors to rooms sometimes left open which isn’t ideal either. Other than this, great location for taxi pick up, clean rooms, bed fairly comfortable - good value overall.

Great Location, but Room for Improvement

Our stay was enjoyable, and the location was excellent. The apartment had a stylish and comfortable design, though the cleanliness could have been better, despite daily housekeeping. Some basic amenities were missing, such as kitchen towels for drying up, which would have been useful. We also had to request additional towels, as only one set was provided for two guests. The ‘city view’ room was somewhat disappointing, as it was overlooked by neighbouring apartments, reducing privacy. A recurring issue was the room key failing each day, requiring frequent trips to reception for reactivation. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and we felt safe throughout our stay. The pool area was a great place to relax, and the on-site bar offered reasonably priced drinks.

The staff was very sweet and welcoming. Location is good, but the rooms are noisy as it right up to the main road. Biggest concern is the air-con that didn’t work, they was looking at it and say that they couldn’t understand why it didn’t work and it was new to them, but under my stay I hear from other guests that they had the same problem.. they don’t have backup power in the time of power cuts and a place of their standards they should at least have power for lights and tv in the rooms..

I recommend this property even though I had some issues with it. Load shedding is an issue in the country where for a few hours there is no power. I stayed at other properties where they had generators so there was no inconvenience to guest. I recommend this property to upgrade. But load shedding isn't their fault. I did have an issue with my unit being too close to the restaurant and the smell of the food lingered all night and there were roaches in my unit. The second of two nights I was there I was switched to another unit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
