The Peninsula team were very helpful in every respect, and the amenity of their free shuttle to take us everywhere we needed to go was fantastic! The location is just perfect and we look forward to a future stay.
Our stay was wonderful , the suite was beautiful and clean and breakfast good. We will definitely book to stay here again next time we visit Capetown .
The staff were very welcoming and always available to assist. Nice hotel with views of the ocean. We would stay here again.

Excellent all around breakfast was great. We even got upgraded to a 2 bedroom. Staff was wonderful! My only complaint is the mattress on the bed was too firm for my liking.
This is by far one of the best hotels, I have ever stayed at. From the service to the food, to the room, it was just exceptional. Special thanks to Brynn, the guest relations manager... my oh my, you went above and beyond for me and my sick daughter. There are no words to express my gratitude, the Peninsula is blessed to have you! Thank you so so much Peninsula... we will not stay anywhere else, ever again!!!
The location is fantastic and our suite was nice and large. The issue is the rooms have become shabby and need updating urgently.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Pros: the staff are very friendly and great location.
Cons: needs major renovation/uplift. I read on reviews that it was luxurious. There was nothing luxurious about this hotel.
The hotel served its purpose. If you are just looking for a spot to sleep at night, its fine. If you are looking for something more luxurious, you won't like it.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Great location in a safe area, next to the Promenade and the tourist bus. Plenty of restaurants and shops around. The views from the rooms are unmatched. The service staff might be the best part of this place. They go out of their way to accommodate you as a guest. Lots of amenities between games, gym, pools, on-site bars and restaurants. This was my first time here, but I will make sure to return on my next visit to Cape Town.

Staff are very nice. Pool needs to be heated! If it is a question of expense then this is short sighted. There were very few people around the pool each day and many told us it was because it wasn’t heated. People around the pool order drinks and lunch so the hotel makes money which would offset the cost of heating the pool. Bathrooms in rooms/suites need refurbishing.

A great view of the ocean from our room. The main (king bed) was comfortable, the single beds were ok and the main sofa was not great (worn out padding). The TVs are small and old but do have a decent range of channels.
The service from the staff was good and the property was cleaned well. The breakfast buffet was decent and there is a shuttle service available to popular spots. Parking was also available and they have enough spots to accommodate.
The main pool is next to the main restaurant and so not very private (we did not actually use it). The second pool is heated which was something the kids enjoyed.
old building, newly panited sill smells paint, over all need renovation

I have one complaint - for some reason the hotel has music blaring out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Why? In 212, my suite, couldn’t escape it. I couldn’t have a sleep or read. On Friday I looked down at the area where the music was and it was deserted. Shouldn’t the hotel ask guests what they think of it?
Beautiful setting, beautiful people too many names to mention. Very helpful staff. 5 star rooms. Been staying here for many years. My home away from home since 2010.
Just one occurence where a dog was allowed in to the area where the pool is. He was on the table and on the coaches outside. It wasn't people staying at the hotel. The lady was using rude language in front of the kids esp mine as our tables where next to each other!! I alerted a staff member.
