I made a special request prior to check in that was forgotten by the hotel, house keeping woke me up at 8:30am and just barged in. Also 100 rands fee for room service sounds like a scam, I stayed in hundreds of hotels of this level and was never charged that. The property and breakfast are nice, rooms are comfortable, but service needs to be improved to justify the price.

There were renovations going on in the hotel that we weren’t informed about when we made the booking — the restaurant was thus closed and it was noisy. The aircon in our room didn’t work, the hot and cold water taps of the bath was switched and the giant chess set has three pieces missing! Utterly disappointed in our stay.
