"This hotel is peaceful and perfect for a couples vacation. The housekeeping wasn’t really cleaning for example our sheets became dirty instead of them changing the sheets they made the bed up with the exact sheet on opposite side, they left the garbage and the cups of alcohol that were left on the mini fridge. Other than that the property is amazing food is amazing bartenders will have those drinks coming. It wasn’t to crowded as it is a small all inclusive resort. I will definitely be staying there again."

"There is a lot to share about our experience. Our family of four booked this hotel for three nights to relax after some earlier adventures. Unfortunately we got some pretty terrible weather. We were the only ones staying on the property for the majority of our stay. In the high season they have a guard station and a restaurant. In the low season they are not fully staffed. They gave us a lovely room and the staff we met were kind and friendly. They provided breakfast daily. The pool was stunning. If we had better weather it could have been a wonderful trip. On the last day of our stay a tropical depression hit and it rained and stormed so hard that the hotel lost power at around 3pm. We knew that meant no electricity, no ac, no WiFi and also no water. That is very scary when you are traveling in an unfamiliar area. That evening at 6 pm we started to really worry and found a small corner grocery store where the owner walked us through the store with a flashlight. The hotel staff left. No one checked on us. No one offered us water, flashlights or candles. The power was out until 9 am the next day. Our safety was never a concern or consideration. It’s very strange to be the only people at a hotel and even stranger to have no one on staff. We reached out requesting a refund and were denied. No apology was given and no one tried to make this right. We did not get what we paid for. This was a very unique circumstance, but it wasn’t handled appropriately."

"Samara Costa Rica lost electricity on the morning of our last full day in Costa Rica. So at Villas Verdes, we spent the last full day and the time preparing for our exit early the next morning, in total darkness, with no running water or air conditioning. I understand that Villas Verdes cannot control the electricity in Costa Rica (shoddy as it is) but at least they could have check on us and perhaps provided flash lights or even gas lanterns or buckets of water to flush the toilets. But we heard nothing from them! I will not be back. And I think a partial refund if in order. - Thomas"

"I almost do not want to write this review because the TM is such a hidden gem that I don't want it to get over booked. However, the place is so amazing it would be wrong of me to not rave about this property. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. From the moment I arrived at the property and was greeted by Maria Fernanda the experience became special. The staff at the TM are aiming for your enjoyment and happiness. They know how to make you feel special. As the Author of Winning the Customer, my business is about building relationships and high touch customer service and TM definitely overdelivers. From the Concierge team of Andres, Alexandra and Maria Fernanda to the Wait Staff and Bartenders including; Alex, Daniel, Stephanie, Jose, Ronny, Edwardo, Joshuan, Gary and Warner. All went out of their way to perfect my stay. I can't forget Ian who got me back and forth from Beach Break, their other property close to the beach. And the views... Spectacular! You will be in awe of the scenery and having breakfast with the butterflies and humming birds. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention Chef. My son and I enjoyed an incredible tasting menu, prepared by Chef Paulo Valerios that was "off the charts" delicious. Amazing flavors, ingredients and stories by Chef himself. I have been to many Michelin Star restaurants, and Chef & Huacas should be in the Michelin family. If you like adventure, scenery and being pampered, Tierra Magnifica is true to it's name, Magnificent!"

"A must stay in Costa Rica! One of the most tranquil, romantic, and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! The personal and small touches made all the difference! This is a boutique hotel where the staff all truly care for guests and one another. Valery, Fiorella, Issabella, and all the ESH staff were so lovely and welcoming. Danny, Francisco, Froylan, and all the staff at Almar were amazing, and the food and cocktails were terrific! The rooms are all private and have amazing amenities. It is close to Guiones and they offer shuttle service to all the local locations. Further, they provided many food and activity recommendations off site. Overall, it was the highlight of our trip, and will be recommending ESH to anyone who plans to travel to Costa Rica! Pure Vida!"
