I will absolutely book here again. The staff was great, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was delish and it's close enough but no too close to down town for walking around and exploring. And the view was fabulous!

Everything from the clean room to the delicious breakfast delivered to your room daily, Lisa and Ted make sure your stay is perfect. I cannot recommend the Hawthorn enough.

My sister and I took our first trip to Maine this year and first stop was Camden and The Hawthorne Inn. Absolutely beautiful property, in a perfect location. The room was exceptionally clean, and we had no concerns at all during Covid travel. The innkeepers, Ted and Lisa were amazing and very accommodating. The breakfasts were the BEST we have ever had at a B&B. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this beautiful property, in this very charming seaside town. We will absolutely visit again. Thank you Ted and Lisa!

Great Experience

We spent the night here as we were traveling up the coastal area of Maine. The Inn was wonderful. Comfortable, accommodating, and well-located. The hosts were very friendly. They took appropriate precautions for COVID-19, and were also eco-friendly (they even left a little bag to take the leftover soap with us so it wouldn't go to waste). The breakfast was amazing and they paid attention to details, like leaving fresh flowers in the room. It's an easy walk to downtown Camden for meals and shopping. If we're back in the area in the future, we'll stay again.

This was a great get-a-away for us. We went at the end of February so there wasn't a whole lot that interested us in town. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the room instead (Hawthorn). The giant tub is well sized for 2. The dual shower heads was nice too. We loved the gas stove to keep the room warm. The bed was perfect. The room had a nice ocean view too. Breakfast was really good - my wife has been looking for a recipe to remake the grapefruit we had. I cant think of anything to improve. Staff was friendly as well.

A home away from home!

Beautiful facilities! Our room was cozy, comfortable, and relaxing! Breakfast was amazing and Lisa & Ted were the perfect hosts! We recommend The Hawthorne Inn to anyone wanting a B&B experience in the Camden area!

The property was close to the center of town, which made it perfect for walking to everywhere that we wanted to go to. Also had multiple places to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, healthy, filling and very flavorful. Would definitely stay at this Inn again.

First Class in Every Way

My husband and i have stayed at the Hawthorn Inn four times and without question, we'll continue to return on our trips to Maine. Lisa and Ted Weiss, the innkeepers go out of their way to be certain everything during our stay is to our liking. Their gourmet breakfasts are great; the rooms have wonderful decor and the bed's mattresses are perfect for my bad back. We strongly recommend a stay at the Hawthorn Inn in Camden, Maine.

Relaxing stay

The Hawthorn Inn was beautiful and inviting. The back yard and gardens were lovely and we enjoyed sitting at the outdoor firepit. The beds were comfortable and the food was outstanding. They easily accommodated my gluten allergy. We loved the close proximity to downtown! LIsa and Ted were wonderful hosts! We can't wait to go back!

A Slice of Quintessential Camden

Innkeepers, Ted and Lisa, were extremely kind and accommodating (specially made cookies upon arrival that suited my food allergies). We felt like part of the family. Our breakfast frittata with smoked salmon, capers and much more was delectable. The pleasant walk through the back yard (which is stunningly situated next to a roaring stream with views to the harbor) brings guests to downtown Camden in a few minutes. Of course, our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We highly recommend this lovely inn.
