It could be nice but it's not. Furnishings poor quality and worn, dirty despite being "cleaned" daily, kitchen utensils abysmal, kitchen consistently a mess. No staff on site. Bed was queen-size, mattress was much smaller and lumpy. Room had hair all over the carpet, several holes in the walls, and an electric kettle filled with rust.
Check-in was a nightmare. The property would not release room key code unless a glitchy web registration form was completed and a security deposit of 50 GBP was paid. The form doesn't process US addresses correctly, so credit card payment proved impossible. After several hours exchanging emails with the management company while waiting at the property, they suggested having a local friend or relative pay the deposit (bank transfers from UK accounts only). Without this, I have no doubt that they would have canceled the booking and left me stranded on a rainy afternoon far from the center of town. Note that the reservation had already been paid for on Expedia.
A week after checking out and sending several emails, security deposit still has not been returned.
The only positive is proximity to the Cambridge Science Park.
Do yourself a favor - avoid this place and any other property managed by Payman Club.
