The room was very clean and well appointed. The only drawback was that there was no lounge for seating. If you didn’t want to sit in your room, which was small but adequate, you had to go to the restaurant. This was not ideal for travellers spending several days there. The restaurant and staff were very good. The food delicious and well prepared. Parking was fine, there was plenty for residents. I must give a shout out to the staff we encountered at the Ely. They were exceptional, especially Gabriella, who served our breakfast as well a cleaning our room.

Exceptional local hotel and accommodation. So nice to have a huge comfy bed, a simple telly that works and hot water that is actually hot. Getting these basics right is what this hotel does best as well as the quality of stay, food and service

Great place - rooms are great, comfy bed, welcome green and blacks chocolate. Staff are lovely at check in and the breakfast staff are fantastic, work hard and fast - really impressed. Only thing I don't like is the 'write on paper' check in part - especially every time you come back, would be nice to be digitally stored but in the greater scheme of things its nothing.

A great place to stay, perfect after a wedding at the venue. Food in the pub was delicious and nice outdoor seating to relax and unwind. Only downside was the rooms didn’t have air conditioning (it was a hot day) and the windows only opened a tiny bit which was probably due to H&S reasons. The room did have a small fan though. All in all a great weekend.
