「Absolutely stunning place. As a photographer, it was hard to get through my head that a place like this can exist, with so much wildlife and scenery, without being staged. It was real and natural. Crossing the field to the restaurant, I was focused on a Parakeet up in the tree, then two Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and a Ringed Kingfisher showed up with a fish, just outside of the restaurant’s balcony! 「Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!」

「We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Oro Verde! Everything was in excellent condition and the place is very well-maintained. We loved the fact that when we arrived the property had a nice pool that we weren’t expecting, so it was a great surprise! The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by nature and at the same time the location is incredibly convenient, just 15-minute drive to La Fortuna. Our experience was great from start to finish!」

「The property seems quite old and could benefit from some updates. The bed sheets did not feel very clean, and the blanket was shedding material, which made it uncomfortable to use. There was also no bedside table in the room, which would have been helpful. With better maintenance and attention to these details, the stay could be improved.」

「The good: Staff were very accommodating and helpful, we had an activity planned before breakfast in the morning and the staff prepared and delivered us a to go box for the morning. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed the back deck with the hanging chair. The bad: My partner and I had originally planned to stay 2 nights at the room with the indoor jacuzzi, upon arrival we noticed we were unable to get hot water, only warm. 「Great place, we absolutely loved it, rooms were amazing. Breakfast was good but not loads of choice, it’s a little out of the way but this didn’t affect us as we had a car and the grounds made up for it. We saw sloths over the car park near the reception. 」
