Super Aufenthalt, wir kommen wieder

Netter , zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Leider hatte er etwas Stress während unserer Ankunft, da er eine geschlossene Gesellschaft erwartete…. Und was schade war, wir konnten dadurch leider nicht im Haus zu Abend Essen, worauf wir uns eigentlich gefreut hatten. Er empfahl uns Restaurants in der Nähe. Unterkunft war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir wurden zuvorkommend bedient. Unser Hund wurde auch sehr freundlich behandelt. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Beautiful place to stay

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Full of character, warm and cosy on chilly weekend in March. The staff were friendly and helpful and were made to feel very welcome especially by Massimo on our arrival which was quite late evening. The small town of Calolziocorte is very pleasant and the location of the hotel by the river is lovely. We were fortunate to stay for dinner on the Saturday evening and it was an excellent meal with friendly and efficient service. Communications from the hotel prior to arrival were prompt and informative. The room we had was spotlessly clean, comfortable and a nice bathroom with a good shower. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Charming people, charming place

We arrived quite late at night but the reception by Massimo was warm and welcoming anyway. The hotel is located right next to a beautiful river and the rooms are clean with a rustic, authentic charm. The breakfast was delicious and the entire experience was very positive for us. We visited with a large dog and they were welcoming to those travelling with pets.

Perfect Four day break

Wonderful four night break. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and we had evening meals in the adjoining restaurant with good menu choices and specials. A well stocked wine cellar. The hotel was well placed for exploring the area with a good frequent train service to Milan, Bergamo and towns on Lake Como.

Fantastic

An amazing hotel, one of the best ones we have ever stayed in! A beautiful historic building. Extremely polite, thoughtful, hardworking, and diligent staff. Only a few minutes outside Lecco. Wish we were staying there longer, and would love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Surprise find in a great area of Lake Como.

We're on a 5-week European road-trip, this was the first Hotel we encountered. A lot of research (we're two international journalists) went into us chasing this property. The fotos displayed on their web sites do not represent what we found. We approached the place a little anxious, wondering what surprise we're in for, but a surprise it was. We arrived late afternoon when the owners almost finished a yearly family fest. Suddenly we're part of the festivities. What a great welcome. The hotel hosts where super friendly and helpful, the room large (more apartment then room) with a seperate lounge area was comfortable with many nick-macs, books etc. The large bedroom was superb and so was the bathroom fitted out with the latest in equipment. Dinner and breakfast where produced by the family themselves and so was the taste of all offerings. We stayed 2 days. Would highly recommend this establishment, at least 4 stars.

En pärla vid Comosjön!

Ett fantastiskt hotell med en otroligt fin restaurang. Stället drivs av mycket trevliga ägare. Massimo och hans fru, som vi hade mest kontakt med, var fantastiska! Vi fick många bra tips om utflykter att göra kring Comosjön. Vi kommer garanterat att återvända och kan rekommendera denna Osteria med varm hand.

A pleasant surprise

A beautifully restored building next to the church of St Maria a few miles south of Lecco. Massimmo and his lovely wife were fantastic hosts. A lovely location on the river and a very relaxing atmosphere all round. We ate in the restaurant that evening and again the service and food was 5***** Breakfast was plentiful and set us up for our drive to la Spezia later that day.
