It’s a nice facility. Hot tub is great. The waterslide is loud so that detracts from being able to fully relax in the hot tub.
However, the thermostat is frustrating. They’re also using the motion sensor system so at night because there is no movement, the heat turns off and you wake up freezing. We had crappy sleeps both times we’ve stayed there. Unfortunately we forgot about the thermostat issue when we booked the second time (this time). The blackout curtains don’t close properly and it’s is a very brightly lit area, so this also made sleeping well difficult.
We were involuntarily signed up for their Marriott Bonavoy membership. This feels like a bit of a violation. I realize there are benefits to it, but I didn’t ask for this and it shouldn’t have been done. I found out by getting an email with my new account information.
Parking…. What a joke. You pay a fair amount of money to stay at this place, yet you still have to pay for parking. It’s not much money, but that’s the point, it’s not much money so they shouldn’t charge you extra. It should be included when you’re spending almost $200, and sometimes more, per night to stay there. Other places that are still clean etc and less expensive include parking. It just makes it feel like a cash grab, and that feels gross.
The heat and curtains issues are enough for us to not stay there ever again. We will get a better sleep, with comfortable enough amennities at another place on Glenmore that we’ve stayed at before.
