「Fabulous location and a fascinating building - highly recommend the little tour that you can take to learn about the history. The pool is lovely, as is the walking in the countryside around the abbey - other than that there's not a lot to do other than soak up the atmosphere. We stayed for two dinners and one lunch. 「Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage unseres Häuschens, die Ausstattung, die Aussicht, DIE RUHE (nichts als das Rauschen der grossen schönen Bäume). 「We'd go back to Sicily just to stay here again. Loved it!! The welcome was wonderful, the rooms are charming, romantic, fun and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner at the restaurant was 5 star. What a location to! The views out over land and see from the balconies (including roof top) are a show stopper in themselves but the town is also beautiful with every corner giving another wow moment of classic Sicily. 「Very nice rural property - no piped music, good service, simple but well executed food (notable ricotta with lemon zest and olive oil, almond semi-freddo) as well as the usual Planeta wines. Only downside was the very poor condition of roads leading to / from property - very uncomfortable and potential for damage to your hire car unless you crawl along and around the many potholes.」
