「The location is very good, very east to find, it is a very peaceful area, it also has the sea view from my room, parking can park next to the supermarket. However the room is very small, but it should be very small in the overall highland area, just depends how much you pay. Thanks!」

「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

「I really enjoyed my stay at The Balmacara Hotel! The staff is very nice and welcoming. The location is great for day trip over the Skye, as well as enjoying the views of the loch. The rooms were very nice and clean. I also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were fantastic as well!」

「What a great find. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. We stayed in one of the Cabins and it was prefect. Cabin had all the amenities one would for their stay. There is a wonderful restaurant, The Sprig, on property and the food was outstanding. Within a very short walk we found The Coffee Bothy which is a great place to grab coffee and breakfast. 」

「When we arrived, a note said to meet staff at their new restaurant (The Sprig) in the converted church. The staff were friendly and helpful, got us settled in quickly and made space for us in their very popular and underrated restaurant. The staff was very helpful through the stay. Owner is wonderful and talked about history of the buildings. I will stay here again in the future.」
