Nice hotel for a quick stay.

This was a last minute stay since we did not plan on going to Outer Banks. The hotel was one of the few on the beach and located right as you enter Buxton. I chose this hotel because of prior reviews & happy that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and included a small kitchenette. There were a few eating places within walking distance & a very nice grocery store (Conner’s) a quick 3 min drive away

Positives-on the beach, beds comfortable, staff helpful and friendly, Negatives-on the beach during a storm; no handicapp accessible rooms; worn out furniture; limited staff; no one on premises in the evenings and overnight. In fairness, there was an offshore storm and the area was flooding over. Staff did their best to find the best rooms possible to accomodate the lack of handicapp access. They were super helpful.

This wonderful little mom and Pop hotel is perfect! It is just the right amount of quirky, old school beach house, and relaxing comfort. We received an unexpected upgrade last minute and could not be more grateful.

An awesome getaway place with great views!! Everyone was so kind very clean and well kept!! Due to Mother Nature there is no physical "beach access" but your actually staying right on the sand. Clean well kept pool, hot tub and kiddie pool!!! Very homey place, very private enclosed balconies and walking distance to food and some shops. I plan to go back very soon!!!

YES DO IT!!

I originally got the ocean view with the 2 queen beds in one room. Once we got there we requested to upgrade. Best choice to make. It was literally next door but had two rooms with 2 beds in each room a queen & twin! Full living room and kitchen area. The view was breathtaking! The most beautiful place I’ve been in a year. I will def return.

If luxury not required, stay at the Outer Banks M.

This Motel has been in existence for many years and is currently undergoing some repairs/remodeling. Overall, the rooms were very clean and neat, with fridge and microwave. Location was right next to the beach, some units overlook the ocean. Compared to other locations, room rates were very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Yea.

There was a roach in the silverware, hardly any amenities, the staff was just a bunch of kids maybe 16 or 17. Its close to the beach, maybe too close! The layout was okay. They want you to clean your own room, threaten you with charges if you don't, but there is a maid service tip envelope on the same paper. For what? No. The best description is lazy. The buildings are good though.

Check in was easy, was going to be later than the check in times posted. Was informed that there was sand piles in the parking lot(understandable with the recent storm). But was not expecting the beach in front of the room to be GONE and the water right against the porch. It was extremely loud. With the other houses going into the ocean it made my son feel uneasy as myself being alone with two children. The room was clean but had a smell to it I assume recent panel replacements in the room. To ease my child I felt the need to leave so he felt safe. I understood paying for the room for that night as we had been in the room and taken our bags in. But there was no option to return money for the other night I was to stay and didn’t. I’d understand if it was under other circumstances but I was never informed of the water issue and to be out hundreds is mind blowing. Never had me sign anything else. Never gave a receipt. Nothing. I’m so disappointed and upset. But my kids feeling and safty comes first. I won’t be booking here again.
