"I was so glad I picked The Chandler Hotel for our stay in Madison. It was fun to read about the building's unique history and amazing to experience its current life as a boutique hotel. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, comfortable and the shower was a 10. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shops and to the Ohio River where there is a wonderful park with walkway along the river. I'd definitely stay again."

"Property is getting older as All State parks are. But lots of options to do instead of just a hotel with a room. Plenty of Acres. Has a lodge, cabins and a campground. Had to go to the campground to wash clorhes for work. Mini golf, hiking,tennis/basketball courts, frisbie field. Small Lake with rentals. History points and war memorial. Location there in town makes shopping/eating easy but still has wooded acreage setting. Staff were all nice and helpful at the desk and the restaurant. Outside pool is large & nice w/lifeguard but limited swim hours. . Unfortunately, told there was only one housekeeper, and rooms are only cleaned daily if u ask. Advised we had to be in the room to get it cleaned due to safety reasons. We did ask, 2 days, only needed a broom, towels and trash removal but housekeeping did not come. We were able to get some extra towels at the desk. I went to buy trash bags and a hair dryer at the Walmart. The restaurant had a menu and buffet that changed and was good. The lounge was closed due to no bartender. The room at the lodge had a front poolside view and a private wooded balcony with chairs and a table out the other side. Room chair was nice big & comfy. King Bed was OK. Would have liked a lamp and plug in on my side of bed though. Clean white linen. Shower acxessable.Tv was small but has cable. Fridge not adjustable but kept drinks cool. Stay was mid Sept. So not during peak season. Would definitely stay again."

"I stayed for the louder than Life fest. This was a convenient 30 minute ride into the festival and far enough away from the action and activities that I was able to rest well in a quiet community. The property was very well maintained inside and out. It is tucked away across from a beautiful church and if the Kentucky heat and humidity hadn't been unseasonably hot the patio would have been lovely for Coffee in the morning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone has a job to do and staff was busy but always available quickly. The team seems to be a well oiled machine and didn't miss a beat. I believe the above mentioned church was hosting a musical event as well as a traveling soccer team. The kitchen staff was on point and the fare had a great enough selection that even the pickiest person. I was amazed at the automatic pancake maker. If only I had the counter space at home. The pool was refreshing after a 6 and 1/2 hour drive. Unfortunately, the schedule for the festival didn't make anything but an early morning swim possible. The gym was clean, well lit and key card access only. Small but efficient. Planet fitness is at the end of the street if you need more equipment or space."

"Our room was very clean. It appeared the carpeting was new, or at least newer, throughout the hotel. I would say the only con I can think of was the room seemed a little muggy/damp even though we had the AC running. I liked the decor in the room, it was much more modern than other hotels we have stayed at. I thought it was great that there was a gym in the hotel. The breakfast was very good, eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. I would definitely stay here again!"
