I had a great experience staying at Super 8 New Castle. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay very relaxing. The front office was clean and the clerk was very polite. I requested a first floor room, I am disabled. When we opened the door to the hallway to get to our room the odor hit hard. It smelled like mold, mildew, a lingering smell of marijuana, and cleaning products trying to mask the smell. We instantly felt ill. We took a few steps into the hallway and the carpet was drenched. Water came up over my shoe. We went to the office and the clerk offered us a second floor room. We declined. There was a man at the far end of the building sitting on a lawn chair with beer cans scattered on the ground around him. We did not feel safe. It appears that they are working on improving the property but it was not clean other than the office.

It seemed fairly clean but a little run down. For instance broken knob on sink. No real issues. Had a fridge and a microwave that was perfect but the coffee maker had no coffee, tea,etc to use it. Could not check out breakfast area because there was a lot of people in tiny space. No elevator. Had my room on 3rd floor but being old, I knew I could not get my luggage up the stairs so they were kind enough to move me to first floor.Very good price. Got what I paid for so overall satisfied.

Well it all started when i checked in and they didn't have the room i specifically picked and reserved. The staff was not professional, there was very little to choose from for breakfast and the water got room temperature no hotter and they charged me for my service animal

Hotel was poorly maintained, the room I booked was supposed to be a king with a jetted tub. Didn’t receive it. Went to see what happened they couldn’t give me an answer.. The whole reason I booked a hotel was the jetted tub and to get a nice hot shower after my water being frozen. PLUS IT BEING VALENTINES DAY. So I go up to take a shower, no hot water whatsoever… I was beyond tired and exhausted. Woke up to get some breakfast.. Go down and there wasn’t hardly any options. No juice. The waffle batter was just water and wouldn’t cook. I have never experienced such deplorable accommodations..

I stayed here with my family and we had a really good experience. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, so everyone slept well. The staff was kind and welcoming from the time we checked in until we left. They made us feel comfortable and were always happy to help with any questions. The breakfast was fresh and a nice way to start the day. For the price, this place was better than we expected. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay.
