Great value for money
We booked our room above this friendly pub at the last minute, as it offered great value for money. It's a very short walk from the seafront, and the town centre.
This is an old building, with uneven floors.
Room 5 was ensuite, and really spacious, but definitely not modern. It was clean, but the bed was very squeaky!
There was a kettle in the room, with tea and coffee. No toiletries, other than soap. The shower was stuck on a very warm temperature.
No breakfast available, but the lovely Chatterbox Cafe is a few steps away.
We had dinner at the pub, which was excellent value for money (2 main meals for £12.49). Drinks are also really cheap. A bottle of prosecco was just £16!
If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place. If you’re looking for great value for money, and a bed for the night, this does the job.
This is a pub with 5 rooms upstairs. In need of a refurb. Open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights with loud music. Punters hang about outside until at least 12.30am. Outside of pub opening hours access is via a metal fire escape. Good quality tea and biscuits.
Properly needs updating, nothing like the pictures on your website.

Locality was good close to sea front, downside for the money it was not worth it and fell below the standards of other hotels close by for the same price.
Lovely team, very accommodating. Look after our bicycles in the back room. We certainly stay here again if I was in this neck of the woods. On downside are the noisy seagulls, however, thats the seaside for you, it can't really be helped.

The property is comfortable clean a little dated. The staff were amazing helpful and friendly. The only couple of concerns the rooms are very hot and noisy from the pub downstairs. Fans in the room would be a great idea so you don’t have to have the window open.
Lovely local place, great service from all but one of the staff who was miserable and rude, others were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for you. Room suited our needs, small for a family of 4 but was only used to sleep in. Room was clean, bedding and towels lovely and clean.
The room was ok but the bathroom was terrible, my coffee/tea was not replenished, my room was not cleaned or coffee etc topped up,overall i would not recommend this place

Very clean room and quite big,but no breakfast included.
Plus if you want peace and quiet this is not the place for you .
Its above a pub which is very loud till late ,if we had known it was above a pub we would not of booked.
Extremely noisy a live band below us and football on tv. Room overlooking the beer garden and open until midnight. No soap in the room at the sink. No towel rail or hook in the communal shower room or soap in the shower.
The shared bathroom left a lot to be desired. I could not bring myself to use the actual shower. Our room was directly above where customers sat outside to smoke/drink so the loud voices went on till gone 1am.
The bedside cabinets were falling apart and 1 drawer had empty biscuit/sweet wrappers from a previous resident.
We have stopped at this property many times but have never saw ths room so neglected. The room was clean but the toilet needed flushing on arrival as somebody had a wee. The wallpaper in one area is ripped off. The toilet floor is well used and lifting and the whole cold tap rotates so you have to use both hands to run it. There are no excuses for this it is neglect but they are allways happy to take your money. Sadly will not be visiting again.
