"The bed sheets were too small for the bed, so I woke up with my head on the mattress directly. Also when we came to check in the staff were doing some admin and we had to stand there for 10 minutes while they completed it in front of us"

"The dolphin hotel - great value for money and excellent location with a 2 minute walk to the beach ! I came here with my partner and 2 dogs and we had a wonderful time the bar and restaurant has been refurbished and has a great atmosphere I was initially worried about he negative reviews but we found out it is now under new management, the staff were amazing and very welcoming and couldn't do more for you the rooms were basic but clean great selection of teas coffees biscuits ect replenished every day , we had a complimentary breakfast every morning which was lovely would definitely stay here again"

"Thought I’d booked a lodge git a room did get refunded a night. Had to spend a day killing time as I was given a room key with guests still in it so instead of relaxing in a front room I had to explore the area with my partner who’s just miscarried!!! Hence wanting a lodge then was told I had an upgraded room but it was twin beds put together and we were falling through the middle the staff were amazing but disappointed is an understatement and no where near compensated respectfully and was made to just accept it never ever again considering what I’d heard about the place the weekend and my partners recovery was beyond ruined"

"The staff were helpful and friendly. The history of the hotel is interesting as it is a former WW1 Hospital. That said it is dated for that same reason. We did not eat ar the restaurant so no review there but we found the bar very blah. Its more of a counter with alcohol. They have very limited parking but there is a pay public car park nearby. We found most of the sites to be within walking distance byt as far as pubs, shopping, or restaurants in the immediate area there really isn't anything. The hitel is fine for a night if you are on a road trip but if you are looking for several nights I would probably pick someplace else"

"A quite basic but comfortable stay and a fair price. Bed was large and comfortable and the room was quiet and relatively clean, apart from the bathroom needing a vacuum (hairs and dust around the edges). Unfotunatly the shower water pressure was really weak. Isca restaurant was really good with nice staff and reasonable prices. Especially recommend the chicken and sausage casserole and the sticky toffee pudding! Overall decent stay and would stay again."
