"The hotel is bordered by the lake on one side and virgin forest on the other. I took 3 marvelous meals a day and the evening meal had a roaring camp fire. Staff were superb. A boat trip organised by the manager was wonderful, many lake birds, families of monitor lizards and a flock of african grey parrots! Rooms clean, food good, drinks cold, assistance with travel, infact assistance with anything. What more do you want! "

"The room we were given was not what we booked. When asked for the room we booked we were shown an incredibly run down version of it in a building that was undergoing repairs so we opted for the room they initially assigned. It costs $50000 UGX to get a ride to town so we felt a bit trapped but I’m sure people accustomed to resorts are used to this. "A hidden gem this one is, set by lake Victoria. I was blown away by the sheer amount of greenery in it’s well tended gardens and then the peace and quiet around this property has to be experienced for one to believe. Although I must point out that Sunday to Thursday will be my choice of days for my next visit as I like it quiet. The weekend Friday and Saturday brings in quite a bit of party people.
