「I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!」

「The hotel is bordered by the lake on one side and virgin forest on the other. I took 3 marvelous meals a day and the evening meal had a roaring camp fire. Staff were superb. A boat trip organised by the manager was wonderful, many lake birds, families of monitor lizards and a flock of african grey parrots! Rooms clean, food good, drinks cold, assistance with travel, infact assistance with anything. What more do you want! 」

「Brovad is a must go to if you are taking a trip to Uganda. It's a beautiful get away from the bustle of the city. It's not a beach as it's on a lake, but the surroundings will make you believe you are. The staff are amazing, kind, thoughtful and will do their best to ensure you have the best experience. Always check in with the receptionist about a problem; don't just grumble, they will always have a solution. The weekends are busy, and if you enjoy a lively vibe, the weekend is a good...

「Quiet and quaint during an early march visit. I think we were the only people staying there! Pool was great, and our room was right on the lakes edge. 50meters from the ferry terminal. Perfect if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful but don’t expect much more than the perfect base to explore the island」
